Antigua Guatemala – November 2025

A market wall somewhere in Antigua. I could not tell you which street. What stopped me was the eyes. A row of little crochet owls lined up on the sill behind the window bars, all of them staring out at the road.

I set up on the wall because the whole thing was already a graphic. One flat field of ochre, one black grid of bars, one heavy grey sky pressing down on it. Then the bike ran through the bottom of the frame. Happy accident. I kept it because the blur is the part that makes it a photograph instead of a wall. A static picture can look dead. This one has a city moving through it.
