Captured on our first trip to Iceland in 2022, this aerial photograph showcases something surprisingly rare in the country — a tree farm. As the season began to turn, the trees revealed a stunning gradient from deep green to golden yellow. From the sky, the shift in color looked like a painter’s brushstroke across the land.

We stumbled across this scene while driving the ring road, making spontaneous stops whenever the landscape demanded it. This was one of those stops. A quiet moment, framed from above, where nature and symmetry collided in a perfectly imperfect way.
